• Don’t Settle For Mediocrity!

People who are unable to motivate themselves
must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their talents might be.

If you want to get ahead in life, self motivation is essential. You need to learn how to motivate yourself!

The first step is to have a cause…

A cause that matters to you, one that can inspire you to keep going even when things get difficult.

Your cause can be a powerful source of motivation, but it’s still not quite enough. You also need to have a dream.

Having a dream is important, you can’t become something you can not see. And it’s very difficult to stay motivated if you have nothing to shoot for.

But just having a dream is insufficient. Your dream must be A Big Dream, one that inspires you. It must be realistic but challenging. It must stretch your ability beyond your comfort zone. It must create a hunger, not just a desire.

You have your own race in life to run so don’t compare yourself to others. The only competitor you have is yourself and the only one you need to beat is you.

Next… let go of the past. Finish each day and be done with it.
You might have disappointed yourself, and maybe even others in the past, but it’s over.

Get rid of it and move forward!

Today is a new day and you have the chance to start again. No matter how bad your past might be, your future can still be bright. And it’s out there waiting for you :-)

    Don’t settle for mediocrity.
Let your self motivation create the life you dream of.

  • Fear Is Like Dust

    No Gravatar

What is stopping you from getting what you want in life?

    Your friends?

    Your family?

A sense that failure – or success – might change your life and that feeling is uncomfortable?

A sense that the people around you might disapprove of you aiming for what you want?

Essentially it boils down to fear…

Fear is that big wall in the middle of road that keeps you from getting what you want. It’s easy to sit around and fantasize about what we want. The hard part is going after it.

Fear is like dust… You can sweep it away but it keeps coming back. Thankfully it’s only dust and all you need is a broom.

So…confront your fears, list them, get to know them and only then – will you be able to sweep them aside and move ahead.

Your wall will melt away, if instead of cowering before it, you make up your mind to walk boldly through.

One of the greatest surprises you’ll ever experience, is when you discover that you can do what you were afraid you couldn’t do.

The only thing you have to fear is fear itself!

When you face the things that scare you, you will open the door to your freedom :-)

  • Success Is Closer Than You Think

    Every situation, properly perceived,
    becomes an opportunity!

But you have to act on them if you’re going to be successful.

Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.

Distant pastures always look greener than those close at hand, but real opportunities are right where you are. You must simply take advantage of them when they appear. You can start where you are at any time.

Success is all around you :-) It’s not in luck or chance, or in the help of others, although good mentors help. Success is YOU being prepared, and being able to recognize the opportunity thats in your own back yard.

You don’t need more strength or more ability or greater opportunity. What you need is to use what you have. Learn to seize good fortune, for it is always around you.

You must go to success, it doesn’t come to you. Don’t give up! Don’t become cynical! Just because you might have failed the first time, doesn’t mean to cant find it. Get up and try again!

Open your doors to opportunity, and allow
success to walk into you life :-)

  • Turn Your Dreams Into Reality

You have the power and the opportunity
    to change your life…
You can make anything you want of it!

It’s not difficult, it just takes some
    determination and effort.

Allow yourself the courage and freedom to fantasize until you get
a vision, a dream of what your life could one day be.

See things as you would have them be instead of as they are.
Develop a personal plan that focuses on what you want, not on what you have.

Think abundance and prosperity and not lack of… and you
will draw it to yourself from the Universe.

Your imagination will show you how to turn possibility into reality. Visualize your goals daily and your subconscious will work toward making those mental pictures come true.

Nothing is impossible to the person who has the desire to succeed, and Knowing your destination is the first step in getting there.

Like a good wine, a great dream usually takes
years to mature and then blossom.

  • Think Positive – Squash Negative Thoughts

There have been many times in my career
when I’ve thought of quitting or giving up.

But here’s the trick: when you sense these negative thoughts
coming into your head, Squash Them Immediately!

These negative thoughts will conquer you if you don’t Conquer Them, and you will never achieve your goals and dreams that way.

Become aware of the negative thoughts, and push them out of your head. Monitor your thoughts. Be aware of your self-talk.

We all talk to ourselves, a lot, but we are not always aware of these thoughts. So start listening!

If you hear negative thoughts, Stop Them, push them out, and replace them with positive thoughts.

Positive thinking can be amazingly powerful!
And essential to your success :-)

  • Knowledge Is Power!

    Your investment in knowledge is
what will give you your best return in your business.

The most successful people in life are the ones with the best information or the most knowledge.

If you take the time to consciously learn new things, you’ll find that you live life more deeply. Instead of chasing quick entertainment that fails to satisfy, you’ll have the pure pleasure of those aha! moments when something finally clicks.

The more you learn, the more you’ll be able to make connections between pieces of knowledge – and the more creative you’ll become.

People with power are people who have the information, and understand how to use it to get things done. Knowing ways to do something is often, almost as good as having done it.

You’ve heard the stories of millionaires that lose everything, and within one year they have made their million back. Once you learn how to do something… you have the knowledge to be able to do it again!

You will build the power to achieve your goals, by educating yourself. This power comes from understanding when and how to do something.

Knowledge is definitely power, and your enthusiasm about what you have
learned, is what turns on the switch :-)

  • Make A Huge Public Commitment!

    No Gravatar

This should do the trick every time - Make a hugh public commitment, announce to the world that you’re going to gain a certain goal by a certain date.

Commit yourself to the limit! Announce it on your blog, tell as many folks as possible about your goal. Tell your full office, your entire family, all of your buddies, everybody you meet. And do not just tell them about, but it keep them updated. Ask them to prompt you and remind you and pester you each time they see you.

Start a contact list of everybody you know and send them weekly updates. Post your results up in your office, and in your home. Put daily or weekly results on your blog. Join an internet forum and commit yourself there, and post updates often.

Be imaginative and do what you have to do. But the more positive public pressure you create for yourself, the more likely you will have eventual success. This can be guaranteed! Not one of us likes to look bad to other people. To ourselves it may not matter so much, but to everybody else, we really don’t like to fail in the public’s eye.

After all that, how likely is it that you might back down? Make this simple characteristic of human nature work for you, and help you in achieving your goals.
